"Chez Joly"Posted by Bill Laing (Pacific Northwest, United States) on 13 November 2009 in Cityscape & Urban and Portfolio. Regarding yesterday's post--"6:02:25": I was passing through a room in our home the other morning when I looked up in the darkness and saw the moon shining through a rain-streaked skylight. I got my camera to record the scene. It was 6:02:25 a.m. when that shot was taken. I like the moodiness of it. The shot posted today is part of a series of scenes taken in or around a quirky little restaurant in downtown Portland, Oregon, called "Chez Joly." The owner of the bistro, a French expatriate, parks his bright blue Citroen in front of the restaurant to capture the attention of passersby. It must work. The place is busy--the food's good, too.
